The origami principle is applicable in all situations and gives elegant look. It does not obstruct your nose and mouth and you can speak, breathe freely. Origami mask creates more space within the pleated structure. This paper fold structure also solves the problem of fogging for those who wear a glass.

Thanks to CSULB for inviting to Duncan Anderson Lecture series. We talked about our work in relation to Scale, Proportion, and Emotion.
It was an honor to be invited and presenting at California State University of Long Beach . We had a great time visiting campus, studios, and woodshop. Here are some images for those of you who missed it.

It was an honor to be commissioned for the design of Dwell on Design 2018 display stand.
The event was at the LA convention center from April 5th - 7th. The theme for the event was tree/spring.
The piece was 5 feet wide by 20 feet long in different height and size variation. Each layer was different from others.
]]>We are exited to be part of Westedge Design Fair 2017. This year will be the first time that the Milk Stand is making an appearance on the west coast at Santa Monica Barker Hangar.
We are showing small scale wearable architecture model created by latest technology. As a design studio, Zimarty's mission is to explore and identify the ways in which technology is changing the architecture.
West Edge will open its weekend on Thursday, October 19, 2017 with an opening night preview party and will continue as open to trade and public through Sunday. Get your ticker with Promo code ZIMARTY17. Hope to see you soon.
We had so much fun at the Raw Artists DTLA. I just wanted to thank everybody who helped us to create such a successful event and thanks to everybody who supports us. We have been showcasing some of our experimental headpieces as well as our new collection choker.

The wall display for Unique Market was an experimental design study.
We wanted to have a wall feature which attracts people from far and gives them different experience as they walk towards it. We bought 276 origami balls and cut them per design rotation and scale. We made the wood frame structure for the boards and attached the boards to it. Let us know what you think :)
]]>Canyon Silent Auction is this coming Sunday, May 21th at Canyon Charter Elementary School. We donated our wonderful Z Cube necklace. Come to the event with us and show your support for children.

Metal & Concrete Jewelry
I'm so excited to have the Mondrian collection ready after several months of material and design study. I got inspired by Mondrian patterns and try to have them on the 3-dimensional cube. I love the combination of materiality. In this design collection, I combined the 3d printed stainless steel with the concrete. After, curing it I polished and cure it again.

I'm very passionate about design and creation and I love people who feel the same way in any industries. I have been sharing thoughts and ideas with my good friend / coworker, Denise Ramos at Lean Arch. she is very creative and self-motivated. She was taking these wonderful photos with her amazing younger sister and sharing it with me. I just wanted to thank her and her amazing sister Vivianna for the incredible, self-motivating work. Check out her Instagram page at dnara92.

I'm happy to announce my collaboration with the Fold Gallery in downtown Los Angeles. My pieces will be displayed and sell in Fold Gallery within the next couple of weeks. I'm working on preparing and 3D printing variations of design, size, and material. Feel free to check out Fold Galley to see the pieces in person.

printed architectural design collection inspired by architectural elements and techniques. Zicube jewelry design process explores the relationship of architecture into the wearable sculpture and jewelry through 3d print technology. The main goal is studying the relationship between the pile and rough geometry to the human body. This contradiction was fascinating to me. The cube was selected as a basic 3-dimensional geometry to interlock and goes around an imaginary curve/ring.

"Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions." - Coco Chanel.
Digital fabrication has enabled the crossovers between fashion and architecture and blurring the boundary between these industries. Fashion designers utilize 3D printing technology to incorporate architectural form and structures into their designs. Fashion architecture is a contemporary view of clothing which is possible with advanced material system and digital fabrication technology. There are many designers who found this crossover dialogue and seek a unique way to make the conventions of their filed unconventional and create an avant-garde brand. This could elevate the future of the fashion industry into a new era in which fabric and swinging machines are no longer necessary.
One of my favorite artists is Neri Oxman who studied architecture and selected is one of the 100 most creative people in 2009, making her way with computational design, synthetic biology, material science, and digital fabrication. She has created art pieces from micro scales to building scales. Mushtari, Qamar, Zuhal, Otaared are just four of her multiple fashion architecture made. In her latest design In collaboration with Christoph Bader and Dominik Kolb, she explored the relationship between the built and the natural environments by using advanced design techniques inspired by the form and function of the human gastrointestinal tract.
Also, Nervous System, famous and innovative designers for their 3D printed Kinematic fabric. They have designed a sophisticated dress inspired by petals for exhibition at The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In the past years, they have also made several online design apps and other data-driven midsoles with New Balance. Their design methods are perfectly blending fashion and technology to reevaluate reality and express the individuality. Their design platform pushes fashion and fabrication in amazing ways where anyone would be able to show and express their feelings with CAD software and 3d printing technology to create unique and affordable wearable art.
Another well-known designer for 3D fashion is Iris van Herpen. She expresses her ideas using technology and advanced fabrication techniques including 3d printing, injection molding, and laser cutting to create intricate three-dimensional structures for dresses. Her latest design “Hacking Infinity”, a 3D printed transparent dress was created in collaboration with architect Niccolo Casas. The result was a unique piece in which the pattern move both by the body’s interaction and the aesthetic sensibility. Van Herpen deftly explores futuristic ideas including synesthesia, living technology, and magnetic fields and many others. Says van Herpen on her site, "she forces fashion to the extreme contradiction between beauty and regeneration. It is her unique way to reevaluate reality and so to express and underline individuality.”
3D printed fashion can make a relation to artists who see the real identity of what fashion and art is all about. It is not only artistic expression but also can be used to add more value to the world we are living in.

Our current 3D printing jewelry concept is based on a Coral branching structure achieved with a Rhino/Grasshopper and python script. This idea was originally developed during a studio project back in school. We think this has great potential for many interesting design applications especially if combined with 3D printing technology. This will give us tremendous design freedom and change the way we design fashion wear going from headpieces to dresses, shoes, and jewelry.
We are currently developing a new line of jewelry sculpture in a similar process with more complex geometry and added interactivity. These were then brought into Maya for the final touch and surface modification depending on the characteristic of each piece. The Acropora collection will available in our online shop soon.
]]>After an impatient wait, we have finally received our Acropora 3D printed jewelry Prototype. It is very exciting to see the design as a physical object and hold it in our hands. Our first jewelry prototype is 3D printed by Shapeways in white Nylon which is strong and flexible with a nice rough texture. After a little tweaking to the design, we will be able to start getting more creative with materials including rose gold, silver, bronze, etc. This should be an exciting week preparing our new line of 3D printed jewelry sculpture. We would like to share with you some images of our Acropora 3D printed jewelry prototype and please feel free to drop us a message if you have a suggestion or need assistance. We’ll be happy to lend a hand.
]]>We are excited to announce our new website and first 3D printed Jewelry in Gold Plated. It polished by hand and then coated with a protective finish to prevent tarnish. It is available in a variety of materials including, gold plated, rose gold plated and rhodium plated. Overall dimension is about 1.25"x 1.25" and it comes from size US 5 through 9. It is printed by Shapeways. Our next design iteration will 3D-printed in wax and then cast in gold. Lastly, it will polish to a mirror finish. This 3D printed Jewelry is majestic, bold, and stands out on you. It is inspired by a pile of the cube and intricate connections between them.
